Job Title: Lecturer - Foundation Learning
Kingston College is seeking a Lecturer to support students in the Foundation Learning area, providing tutorial and pastoral care for learners with learning disabilities/difficulties and monitoring work experience activities.
Responsibilities include:
1. Delivering teaching and assessment activities within your area of expertise, including lectures, coursework, practical activities, and fieldwork.
2. Delivering Maths and English to SEND learners at appropriate levels.
3. Arranging, coordinating, and supervising practical work, events, and assessment projects.
4. Advising students on techniques and strategies for learning.
Requirements:
* Recognised teaching qualification (or willingness to work towards one).
* Recent and relevant continuous professional development.
* Strong knowledge and current teaching experience in English, Maths, and Employability skills.
* Understanding of inclusive learning strategies and progression pathways for students with SEND.
* Experience in vocational curriculum development within Further Education, including RARPA, entry-level qualifications, and Functional Skills.
* Knowledge of strategies to meet individual learning needs, with experience motivating and guiding individuals or teams.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with good planning, organizational, and administrative skills.
The successful candidate will be eligible for any salary increase resulting from the annual cost of living review in the new academic year.
