Responsibilities
* Based at WSP's Edinburgh or Glasgow offices; working within a team of Surveyors based UK wide, including Topographical, Measured Building & Buried Services Surveyors, and UAV Pilots.
* Managing your own projects.
* Carrying out below ground utility and drainage surveys.
* Quality Assurance – ensuring that standards are being followed on site and in the office.
* Mentoring of junior team members.
Qualifications
* QCF Level 3 and Level 5 in Utility Mapping and Surveying, or equivalent qualification such as part of a degree, HND, or specialist module in an engineering based qualification. Candidates with suitable skills and proven experience may be considered.
* Proven experience of carrying out fieldwork for below ground utility surveys and drainage surveys on varied sites using Electromagnetic and GPR techniques.
* Experience with PAS128 standards, collecting and post-processing GPR data.
* Experience in producing 2D & 3D CAD drawings and other survey reports.
* Experience using total stations and GNSS.
* Experience in carrying out Topographical Surveys would be advantageous.
* Ability to communicate unambiguously to public and team members; able to operate effectively in all weather conditions, or at night.
* Undertaking own CPD.
* Skills to check and critically evaluate the work done by others, including drawings, calculations, or reports.
* Active contribution to Technical Excellence and innovation across the survey team.
* Full UK driving licence.
