Current Opportunities:
1. AM/Mornings Class 1 Driver – Basic salary is £ 38, pa, based on 48 hours per week. Hours of work are Monday – Friday, from 04:00hrs – 14:00hrs.
2. PM/Evenings Class 1 Driver – Basic salary is £42,pa, (includes shift allowance of £17.50 per shift for any shifts starting between 12:00hrs and 02:00hrs*), based on 48 hours per week. Hours of work are Monday – Friday, from 16:00hrs – 02:00hrs.
The position of Class 1 Driver involves:
3. Delivering to retail stores on curtain side and box trailers on single and double deck trailers.
4. Collecting multiple containers from port for delivery to distribution centre.
5. Planning route on a day to day basis.
6. Complete daily vehicle checks on your company phone.
7. Keeping in regular contact with the transport team for updates on progress and managing our customers’ expectations.
8. Attending regular training sessions.
Essential skills required for Class 1 Driver:
9. Must have a UK Class 1 (CE) Driving Licence.
10. Hold a current DCPC Card and Digital Tachograph Driver Card.
11. Experience of delivering loads directly to client sites is advantageous.
12. Be passionate about providing excellent customer service.
13. Working to deadlines.
14. Confident, polite and a team player.
15. Good geographical knowledge.
16. Due to the nature of the role applicants must be fit, flexible, hardworking and self-motivated.
