Job Purpose The FM Multi-Skilled Gas Engineer will be responsible for the servicing, maintenance, repair, and installation of commercial gas, plumbing, and heating systems across a range of client sites throughout Northern Ireland. The role requires a proactive and flexible approach to ensure high standards of service delivery, compliance, and customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities Service, maintain, and repair commercial gas appliances and heating systems. Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) in line with contract schedules. Diagnose and repair faults efficiently and effectively. Undertake plumbing and heating installations and upgrades where required. Ensure all work is completed in compliance with current Gas Safe regulations and relevant health & safety legislation. Complete and maintain accurate documentation and certification. Participate in the out-of-hours on-call rota and respond to emergency callouts. Maintain company vehicle, tools, and equipment in good working order. Liaise professionally with clients and provide excellent customer service. Work independently and as part of a wider Facilities Management team. Identify and report additional works or potential business opportunities. Knowledge, Skills & Experience Proven experience working on commercial gas systems. Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Strong understanding of health & safety practices. IT literacy for job reporting and certification systems. Qualifications & Certifications (Essential) NVQ Level 3 in Plumbing and Heating. Valid Commercial Gas qualifications (current and in-date). Experience Demonstrable experience working with commercial gas systems. Experience within a Facilities Management or similar environment. Experience of planned preventative maintenance and reactive maintenance. Skills & Attributes Strong problem-solving and fault-finding abilities. Ability to prioritise workload and manage time effectively. Flexible approach to work and availability for on-call rota. Good written and verbal communication skills.
