UKAEA's pay arrangements and grading structure are currently under review as part of a transformation project and proposed multi-year pay deal. UKAEA aims to introduce a new grading structure in 2024. This will enable us to lead the delivery of sustainable fusion energy and maximise the scientific and economic benefit. This role currently requires employees to be eligible for SC Clearance (must have resided in the UK for the last 5 years), including The Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) checks for criminal convictions.

As the Group Auditor, you will play a pivotal role in supporting in the management and implementation of the audit programme including the delivery of audit assignments, validation of audit actions, and preparing reports for presentation at various governance boards.
You will be collaborating with the Group Head of Internal Audit and the Group Systems Audit Manager to drive the business in the development and promotion of a proactive culture for assurance.
This role will see you working on a broad array of Auditing functions, providing opportunities for growth in your professional career.
Additional Responsibilities:
* Plan, conduct and deliver audit assignments as required.
* Proactively engage with stakeholders and supervise the timely close-out of audit actions.
* Administer the quality of audit information added to QPulse including the validation of data and submissions to close-out audit actions.
* Support the management of the QPulse action tracking software, ensuring it delivers an effective and efficient user experience.
* Manage the Internal Audit Function documentation and Audit Plan using SharePoint.
* Support continual improvement and transformation projects using feedback from the audit programme.
Qualifications
Essential Requirements:
* Internal auditor qualification or working towards.
* Qualified to degree level, or having demonstrable experience at operating at a graduate role in a comparable organisation/role.
* Experience of undertaking audits.
* Influence and negotiate with internal and external stakeholders in a wide range of roles and levels of responsibility.
* Ability to communicate key messages clearly and succinctly to senior leaders, utilising a range of communication methods.
* Demonstrable analytical skills and highly IT numerate with experience in solving complex problems or issues.
