About the role:
Horizon Teachers are seeking a passionate and committed SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils 1:1 and in small groups across all Key Stages, particularly those with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and Complex Needs.
Key responsibilities
* Provide focused 1:1 and small group support to deliver targeted intervention.
* Provide general classroom support, assisting with pupil engagement to enhance learning outcomes.
* Support the class teacher in planning, preparation, and delivering engaging lessons.
* Support pupils with SEND and additional needs.
* Assist in creating a positive, inclusive, and safe environment.
What do you need to succeed in this role?
* Previous experience in a school or SEN setting (essential).
* A genuine passion for supporting children's learning and development.
* A solid understanding of SEND conditions and how they affect learning and behaviour.
* Confidence in supporting pupils with communication difficulties and/or physical needs.
* A collaborative and empathetic approach, with excellent communication skills.
