We are now looking for a driven and experienced Operations Manager to lead our Wakefield site. This is a fantastic opportunity for a people-focused leader with a continuous improvement mindset to make a real impact in a highly regulated and fast-moving environment.
Your Mission at Elis
As Operations Manager, You’ll
* Lead and develop production and engineering teams to deliver on-time, high-quality service to our customers.
* Drive continuous improvement and efficiency through Lean principles and the Elis Production Essentials.
* Ensure compliance with all Health & Safety and regulatory standards.
* Take responsibility for site performance, resource planning, budgeting and forecasting.
* Work closely with the General Manager, deputising when required, and contributing to long-term strategy.
* Champion a “One Team” culture across functions including engineering, service, textile and logistics.
What will make you stand out?
* Proven experience in production, supply chain or service management, ideally in a regulated or process-driven industry.
* Strong people leadership skills – able to motivate, coach and inspire high-performing teams.
* Commercial and financial acumen with experience in budgeting, forecasting and resource planning.
* Knowledge of ERP systems and strong analytical skills.
* A proactive, customer-focused approach with excellent communication skills.
* Desirable: experience with Lean / Six Sigma methodologies and NEBOSH certification.
