Job Purpose
Through practical application of Agile Business Analysis disciplines, tools and techniques, you will contribute to the Apps and Automation service to implement valuable solutions for its customers.
As an Agile Business Analyst, you will work to enable the development team to clearly understand the customer vision and ensure a timely supply of prioritised user stories, guidance and support.
You will work closely with the Product Owner through the delivery cycle to ensure that the technical solution successfully meets the needs of all stakeholders in a cost-effective way.
Accountabilities & Responsibilities
* Stakeholder Management – building relationships to understand and represent the product owners’ vision, desired outcomes, priorities and working environment
* Bridging the Gap – bridge the gap between various teams, being able to speak technical as well as Business language and to guide all stakeholders through the agile process.
* Refine Requirements – build and prepare requirements as user stories, ensuring they are high quality and can be understood, solutioned and estimated from by the development team.
* User story and acceptance criteria creation – write clear and concise user stories together with the acceptance criteria for each.
* Test coordination – support both the development team and business team through the testing cycles, collating feedback and ensure this is fed back into the development team to be addressed
Technical Skills & Experience
* Practical experience of working on agile projects and can demonstrate some experience of using agile methodologies, such as Scrum or Kanban
* Experience of using DevOps / Agile tools in a development lifecycle as a BA e.g. JIRA, Confluence or similar
* Experience of using BA techniques for requirements gathering
* Experience of supporting testing cycles – understanding of test scenarios, acceptance criteria and gathering test evidence and feedback
Qualifications
Essential Qualifications
* Gained or working towards an Agile BA qualification e.g. BCS Certificate in Agile Business Analysis
About The Team
The Apps and Automation team is focussed on delivering digital solutions to drive business efficiencies, primarily using Robotic Process Automation and Web and Mobile apps.
The Agile Business Analyst role will work within the web and mobile app service and become part of the DevOps team to deliver new products and enhancements to existing products for our UU colleagues and partners.
