Administration Assistant Braintree Essex £14.02 per hour 09:00 to 14:30 Monday to Friday About the Role We are recruiting an Administration Assistant on behalf of a local authority based in Braintree. This is a part time office based role supporting a busy public sector team with day to day administrative tasks. This role would also suit candidates searching for roles such as Admin Officer, Office Administrator, Business Support Assistant, Clerical Assistant or Team Administrator. What You’ll Do • Provide general administrative support to the wider team • Handle incoming calls and emails in a professional manner • Update and maintain accurate records and databases • Prepare documents, letters and reports as required • Support meetings with note taking and document preparation • Assist with filing, scanning and data entry tasks • Work closely with colleagues to ensure smooth office operations What We’re Looking For • Previous experience in an administration or office support role • Strong organisational and time management skills • Good attention to detail and accuracy • Confident using Microsoft Office including Word and Outlook • Clear communication skills and a professional approach • Ability to work independently and as part of a team Who Might Suit This Role This position could suit someone with experience as an Admin Assistant, Receptionist, Customer Service Administrator, Business Support Officer or Clerical Officer. Experience gained in local authority, public sector, NHS, education, housing, or corporate office environments would transfer well into this role.
