Job Description
As Junior Management Accountant you will be involved in producing the monthly management accounts across our support office and all nurseries at Grandir UK. You will also be required to provide support and guidance to all nursery managers from a financial performance perspective.
You will also provide cover for any absences and give support to the Group Accountant as and when required.
Support office/Hybrid (3 days in the office)
Key Responsibilities
* All initial processing of monthly accounting requirements, to include
o Accruals, Prepayments, journal entries and corrections
o Fixed Asset additions and Depreciation postings
o Review of entries and correction of errors as necessary
* Check Bank reconciliations
* Prepare Balance sheet reconciliations
* Intercompany reconciliations and postings
* Identify, investigate and resolve discrepancies in management accounts
* Preparation of monthly management accounts
* Providing P&L and budget support for Nursery/Regional Managers
* Analysis of cost categories
* Maintain Sage accounting periods
* Business partner for several Regions across the divisional structure – to include training Nursery Managers on P+L, KPIs, Reporting and to provide guidance in respect to recognition of Enjoy Benefits monies and SEND income
* Any other tasks that can be reasonably expected in relation to the role
* Ad hoc duties as required
Qualifications
* Studying AAT/CIMA/ACCA (or keen to start)
* Strong Excel Skills
* Team player mentality
* Analytical Mindset with attention to detail
* Ability to meet deadlines in a fast paced environment
