Specialty Doctor in Obstetrics and Gynaecology
10 sessions per week (1 Additional Programmed Activities)
Fixed Term for 8 months
Salary: £61,542 – £99,216 per annum (dependent on experience)

Key Responsibilities
* Full clinical aspects of Obstetrics.
* Occasional emergencies and unforeseen circumstances at the request of the appropriate Consultant.
* Instruction of student nurses, pupil midwives and undergraduate medical students from Warwick.
* Lecturing to student nurses and pupil midwives and undergraduate medical students, provided the holder is recognised as a lecturer by the Central Midwives.
* Involvement in research/audit and participation in the busy audit programme.
* Attendance at administrative meetings.
* Administration within the Acute Unit's Directorate System.
* Work a 1:8 full shift rota initially, progressing to a 1:10.
Experience & Knowledge (Essential)
* Working knowledge of general obstetrics & gynaecology.
* Appropriate experience in obstetrics and general gynaecology.
* Involvement in an audit project.
* Evidence of Continuing Professional Development.
* Ability to motivate self and others.
* Minimum of 6 months experience within the UK and full GMC registration.
Experience & Knowledge (Desirable)
* Interest in research.
Qualifications & Training (Essential)
* MB ChB or equivalent registerable qualification.
* Eligible for Full registration with the General Medical Council.
Qualifications & Training (Desirable)
* MRCOG.
* At least four years postgraduate experience or equivalent, with at least three years in specialty training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology.
