Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be accountable for:
* Managing planned and fault operations on the Northeast and Yorkshire HV and EHV network.
* Pursuing safety and customer service excellence.
* Working as part of a team of technical and qualified engineers on a shift rota, with decision-making responsibilities in demanding situations.
* Communicating effectively with field staff, customer services, and external stakeholders during planned and reactive situations.
* Producing and communicating clear reports to management, other business units, and stakeholders.
* Collaborating within a high-performing team to develop and implement innovative solutions.
* Making confident decisions and managing system risks and escalations as necessary.
* Applying excellent technical knowledge of HV and EHV networks and safety protocols.
* Problem-solving to meet the challenges of a rapidly changing environment.
* Delivering quality outputs within deadlines.
* Communicating effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
Qualifications and Attributes
Essential Qualifications and Experience
* Experience in network operations and planning processes.
* Understanding of Distribution Safety Rules and Operational Practice Manual requirements.
* HNC in electrical engineering or equivalent.
* Knowledge of LV, HV, and EHV networks and protection systems.
