As part of their holistic and inclusive approach, the school offers a dedicated on-site swimming facility, supporting pupils' physical development, confidence, and sensory regulation through structured swimming sessions.
This is a unique and rewarding opportunity for a qualified and passionate swimming teacher to play a vital role in improving pupils' wellbeing, mobility, and enjoyment of physical activity.
We are seeking an engaging and patient Swimming Teacher with experience or interest in working with children and young people with SEN. You will be leading small-group swimming sessions, adapting lessons to individual needs and supporting pupils in developing both physical skills and confidence in the water.
This is a fantastic role for someone who wants to make a tangible difference and work within a supportive, experienced team that truly values inclusive practice.
* Hold a valid Swim England Level 2 (or equivalent) swimming teacher qualification
* Have experience teaching swimming to children or young people (SEN experience desirable but not essential)
* Be confident adapting lessons for a range of physical, sensory, and emotional needs
* Demonstrate patience, empathy, and strong communication skills
* Be able to manage behaviour positively and supportively in and around the pool
* Hold or be willing to obtain an Enhanced DBS check
* Be a team player who is proactive, reliable, and committed to pupil progress
