Care Assistant – Richmond Villages

Location: Parkside House Care Home, Parkside Road, Reading RG30 2DP
Salary: £12.60 – £13.60 per hour
Hours: 33 days per week on a permanent contract
About the role: As a Care Assistant, you will provide person‑centred care that supports independence and honours choice for residents. You will be part of a team dedicated to delivering the highest standards of care at a care home rated Good by CQC and 9.7/10 by Carehome.co.uk.
Key Responsibilities
* Support residents with a wide range of needs from companionship to personal care.
* Observe and manage residents’ behaviour, document and report changes as required by legislation.
* Support residents’ nutrition and hydration, encouraging and assisting with eating/drinking according to their care plan.
* Provide physical and mental stimulation through social and recreational activities, in groups or individually.
* Maintain accurate care plans in line with regulatory and legal requirements.
What We’re Looking For
* Motivation, positivity and great interpersonal skills.
* Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Desirable: previous experience in a care home or a Health and Social Care qualification.
