Job Title: Finance System Analyst
Location: Samlesbury, Preston, Barrow-in-Furness, Portsmouth or Glasgow. We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements – please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role.
Salary: Circa £35,000 depending on experience
What you’ll be doing:
* Act as the lead system administrator for SAP Business Planning and Consolidation (BPC), managing dimension updates, user access, system security, interface processes, and month-end financial data integrations
* Provide expert support and guidance to users of SAP Business Planning and Consolidation, maintaining a dedicated intranet page with up-to-date training materials and user documentation
* Ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance of financial data within SAP Business Planning and Consolidation in line with defined company standards
* Liaise with teams across the business to support integration with related systems and processes
* Support continuous improvement by managing system enhancements and developments through the formal change management process
* Develop and maintain all training materials and process guides to support users in their day-to-day use of SAP Business Planning and Consolidation
* Evaluate the impact of change requests from a system-wide perspective, including data integrity and volume considerations, and carry out system testing as needed
* Work closely with finance teams and other departments such as human resources, business development, and project management to meet evolving reporting and planning needs
Your skills and experiences:
* Proficient IT skills, with a good understanding of data analysis techniques using Microsoft Excel
* Good understanding of financial reporting processes and financial accounting principles
* Experience working with finance systems such as SAP Business Planning and Consolidation or similar tools (e.g. Oracle Hyperion)
* Demonstrated ability to deliver quality service, with effective communication and customer-facing skills

The Finance Team:
Join a dynamic and supportive team within the Head Office Finance function, specifically in the Finance Capability Centre. This exciting opportunity offers the chance to contribute to key processes in financial administration and reporting, working with finance systems like SAP Business Planning and Consolidation (BPC) and Oracle Hyperion. You’ll be responsible for managing monthly processes, including reconciliations and report writing, as well as providing crucial user support and troubleshooting. While finance qualifications are not essential, we can support you in gaining a finance qualification as you grow in the role. A solid understanding of finance processes and some systems experience will set you up for success.
