Job Description
Summary:
The Teledyne group provides enabling technologies for various industrial growth markets requiring advanced technology and high reliability, such as digital imaging, aerospace and defense, factory automation, environmental monitoring, electronics design, oceanographic research, oil and gas exploration, medical imaging, and pharmaceutical research.
This role focuses on Corporation Tax compliance, reporting, and accounting for Teledyne group entities in the UK, particularly for Qioptiq and FLIR businesses, with potential to expand internationally.
As part of the UK Tax team, reporting directly to the UK Head of Tax, you will coordinate with the wider UK Tax team based in Chelmsford and other UK sites. The UK Tax team is part of the global Teledyne Group Tax team across the USA, Canada, UK, and Europe.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
1. Tax Reporting and Compliance: Monthly, quarterly, and annual preparation of current and deferred tax estimates for US GAAP and UK statutory reporting, including journal entries, tax rollforwards, and group submissions using TXP software.
2. Tax Computations and Returns: Support preparation of corporation tax computations and returns, analyze tax-sensitive accounts, assist with UK patent box claims, and RDEC calculations.
3. Supporting Tax Processes: Assist with UK Corporation Tax payments, HMRC inquiries, transfer pricing documentation, tax governance, and projects like acquisitions or restructurings.
Experience and Qualifications
* Tax qualification preferred; accounting qualification or experience advantageous.
* Experience with ERP systems like SAP/SAP4Hana or Microsoft AX.
* Experience preparing tax packs/returns, ideally with tax software exposure.
* Intermediate Excel skills required.
* Strong planning and organizational skills.
