Key duties of the Workshop Controller:
9. Organise the bodyshop workflow by controlling job statuses and conducting daily progress meetings with the team
10. Oversee the maintenance and proper functioning of all tools and equipment, controlling waste and utilities, and ensuring security
11. Ensure accurate completion of all job cards and adherence to shop floor procedures
12. Communicate effectively with technicians and management regarding quality issues and job progress
13. Assist in maintaining high standards of work by troubleshooting and resolving operational issues
14. Support a team-focused environment by collaborating with colleagues across functions to deliver exceptional service
Candidate requirements for the Workshop Controller:
15. NVQ Level 3/City & Guilds qualification or ATA accreditation in automotive repair
16. Applications from this with current Bodyshop disciplines, looking for a step up, are encouraged
17. Strong leadership and organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
18. High attention to detail with a focus on quality standards and compliance
19. Full UK Driving Licence
20. Hands-on approach with a keen interest in continuous improvement and customer satisfaction
