Job Title: CNC OPERATOR

Pay Rate: £12.21 an hour increasing to £15.25 after 6 weeks
Job overview
To ensure the efficient machining and edging of boards for furniture to the highest levels of efficiency and Quality, working in the order of a Production Plan. Ensuring all Planned jobs are completed on time so customer orders are delivered on time and to the correct Quality standard required.
Key Tasks:
*Ensure Cnc Plan is marked and kept up to date with status of order line.
*Ensure that all work undertaken conforms with Renray Healthcare Ltd SHEQ manual procedures.
*Checking boards visually for any faults when loading laying out for cutting.
*Ensure the effective utilisation of machine.
*Ensure that all plant and equipment is kept in good working order and any faults are reported immediately.
*Liaise and work with the Supervisor to achieve Plan objectives
*Ensure the machine operates in line with the Cnc plan, and identify and inform the Supervisor of issues that may affect adherence to the plan.
*Ensure the transfer of cut materials to relevant wip / storage areas.
*Collect waste material and dispose of correctly.
*Responsible for cleanliness of cutting machine, waste bins and its immediate area, being instrumental in preventing/reducing quality costs.
*Inform Supervisor of rejected and defective stock so stores can take back to the warehouse through the correct procedures.
*Adhere to the requirements of health & safety legislation and the Company Health & Safety Policy at all times.
*Undertake other duties and responsibilities as may necessarily be required
Knowledge/Skills/Experience:
*A minimum of 2 years experience in a production environment.
*Computer literacy would be advantageous although training can be given.
*Self-motivated and able to work with minimum supervision.
*Ability to be flexible.
*Some knowledge of CNC machines would be advantageous
*Attention to detail
You must be available to work a three -shift pattern 6-2/2-10/10-6 when required. A fixed shift may be available, but can be subject to change with notice.
