The role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an organised and motivated individual to join a large, experienced and dynamic research team at UHL NHS Trust. The Leicester Diabetes Centre is seeking someone with strong administrative or research support experience to contribute to the set up, coordination, and delivery of high‑quality research studies in diabetes and other long‑term conditions. This full‑time position is offered at 37.5 hours per week (with a flexible minimum of 3 days). For this role, on‑site attendance is required. PREVIOUS APPLICANTS NEED NOT APPLY In this role, you will assist with study documentation, approvals, planning and day‑to‑day trial delivery. Working alongside senior research colleagues and study investigators, you will help ensure studies run smoothly, safely and in line with ICH Good Clinical Practice. You will support participant screening, recruitment and informed consent, coordinate study visits, and help maintain accurate data and documentation across one or more allocated studies. As part of this, you will be expected to work to a high level of accuracy with excellent attention to detail in relation to study documentation, data collection and data entry, and to be confident using Microsoft Office and other digital systems. About the University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust: https://www.uhleicester.nhs.uk You will join a supportive team of research administrators, trial coordinators and trial managers working across single and multi‑site studies. The role involves liaising with key external partners such as the Research Delivery Network East Midlands, GP practices and PRIMIS. Depending on the study, you may also provide supervision to administrative staff. This is a busy and varied role, ideal for someone who is organised, adaptable, able to work flexibly, and confident communicating with a range of stakeholders.
