Due to growth, they now require a Procurement Specialist to join on a permanent basis in Derby. Responsible for Process purchase requisitions. Identifying new suppliers, managing purchasing contracts and suppliers. Purchasing equipment, consumables and controlling overhead cost. Assisting with negotiating prices. Reporting on vendor spend. Build relationships with new and existing suppliers. Input information into the management system for analysis and reporting. Dealing with client and supplier queries. Experience required Technical purchasing experience with the ability to assimilate technical information. Excellent understanding of purchasing practices, export control, and managing suppliers. A proven track record in developing a good working relationship with suppliers. Preferred, MCIPS qualification or working towards. The ability to work independently and part of a Team. Excellent telephone manner and communication skills. Experience of working with minimum supervision in a busy and demanding environment.
