Job DescriptionHealth and Safety ManagerHereford County Hospital£43,400-£48,000 Bonus and excellent benefits40hrs pw,open to part-time arrangementsFlexible benefits £1.300Please take the time to read the attached job descriptionJob IntroductionAt Sodexo Health and Care, we believe that Quality of Life begins with safety.As our Health & Safety Manager based onsite at Hereford County Hospital, you'll play a key role in protecting the wellbeing of patients, visitors, and frontline staff, by embedding best-in-class safety practices and championing a Zero Harm culture across our site in Hereford.Sodexo has an extensive footprint extending into many sectors, being part of a thriving and driven organisation can bring many benefits in career development and project variety for the right people.If you're a proactive safety leader with a passion for driving improvement, influencing culture, and making a measurable difference, this role offers the opportunity to shape outcomes that matter—every day.What You'll Do:Support the implementation of our Occupational Health, Safety, and Environmental Strategy at site levelLead risk management activities, ensuring operational risks are identified, escalated, and controlledEmbed and promote the Sodexo Zero Harm culture through safety leadership and colleague engagementOversee incident reporting, investigation, and trend analysis using safety systemsCoordinate food safety, environmental and health & safety audits and facilitate continuous improvementAdvise and influence senior operational teams on legal compliance and best practice standardsSupport and monitor contractor safety, site compliance, and statutory responsibilitiesDeliver technical and behavioural safety training across teamsMaintain and develop ISO-certified management systems (45001, 14001, 9001)Produce detailed safety reports, metrics, and client presentationsBuild and maintain strong relationships with clients, operational teams, and stakeholdersWhat You Bring:Essential NEBOSH FireFood Safety Level 3NEBOSH National Diploma Level 6 or equivalent in Occupational Health & Safety or equivalent.Chartered Member of IOSH.Knowledge of Quality Management Systems including ISO9001; ISO14001; ISO45001and ISO 22000Detailed knowledge and working experience of all relevant health, safety & environmental legislation.Ability to effectively cooperate and deal with wide range of internal and external relationships.Commitment to HSE management. Have a strong motivation for knowledge and personal development.
