Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Retail Sales Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, assisting customers with their purchases, and maintaining an organised and visually appealing sales floor. This role requires strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced retail environment.
Responsibilities
* Greet customers warmly and assist them in finding products that meet their needs.
* Engage with customers to provide information about products, promotions, and services.
* Demonstrate effective upselling techniques to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales.
* Maintain an organised sales floor by merchandising products effectively and ensuring displays are tidy.
* Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues in a professional manner.
* Process transactions accurately using the point-of-sale system.
* Assist with inventory management, including stock replenishment and conducting stock takes.
* Uphold high standards of cleanliness and organisation within the store environment.
Requirements
* Proven experience in retail or customer service is preferred but not essential.
* Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with proficiency in English; bilingual or multilingual candidates (especially Spanish) are highly desirable.
* Basic math skills for handling transactions and managing cash registers.
* Excellent time management skills to prioritise tasks effectively in a busy environment.
* Strong organisational skills to maintain an orderly workspace and stockroom.
* Familiarity with phone etiquette when handling customer calls or inquiries is beneficial.
