This is a wonderful opportunity to join my client, a close-knit, market-leading consultancy service, renowned for lending their skills and expertise to a range of projects, specialising in dewatering services. They are on the lookout for a keen, capable Hydrologist with extensive design experience within ground water and dewatering, who is willing to take on a number of challenging projects. You will be based near the vibrant, industrial town of Burton-on-Trent.

Responsibilities for the role of Hydrologist include:
Contributing to projects from initial inception through to detailed design and implementation
Undertaking groundwater impact assessments
Producing conceptual hydrological and hydrogeological models
Designing and assessing temporary/permanent dewatering systems
Producing numerical and analytical groundwater models, supporting design solutions
Analysing groundwater-surface water interactions and impacts
Preparing technical documents, including technical reports, method statements, and more
Gathering and interpreting site investigation data and pumping test results
Liaising with clients and other stakeholders across the public and private sectors
Required skills and experience for the role of Hydrologist include:
First Degree in Civil Engineering, Hydrology, or a similar, relevant discipline
Substantial experience in groundwater and de-watering design, in a UK-based consultancy or local authority setting
Demonstrable experience with the use of relevant software systems, e.g. MODFLOW, TUFLOW/Flood Modeller/HEC-RAS, SEEP/W, etc.
Experience with GIS software (i.e., QGIS, ArcGIS)
Considerable experience with the use of AutoCAD
Experience of developing conceptual models
Proven experience of pumping test design and analysis
Demonstrable experience of assessing groundwater flow, drawdown, and settlement
Extensive experience in undertaking groundwater risk assessments
Excellent working knowledge of hydraulic and hydrogeological principles
Outstanding communication skills, written and verbal
Highly-competent in numeracy, with a technical mindset
Desirable skills and experience for the role of Hydrologist include:
A Higher Degree in a relevant subject
Possess Chartered Status with a relevant Professional Body (e.g., ICE, CIWEM, etc.), or actively working to attain this
Hold a full, valid UK Driving Licence
Have a keen understanding of the relevant UK legislation, regulations, and frameworks
