Job Description
As our next Commis Chef, you will play an important role in supporting the kitchen team to deliver quality food consistently and efficiently in a fast-paced hotel environment.
You will:
* Assist in the preparation and presentation of dishes to agreed brand and company standards
* Ensure all mise-en-place is prepared and ready for service
* Maintain cleanliness, organisation and hygiene across all kitchen areas
* Follow food safety procedures from storage through to preparation and service
* Support the Chef team during breakfast, lunch, dinner and event service
* Help with stock rotation, deliveries and storage procedures
* Work collaboratively with colleagues to deliver a great guest experience
* Carry out any additional kitchen duties as requested by senior chefs or management
Qualifications
We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic, reliable and passionate about food.
You should ideally have:
* Previous kitchen experience in a hotel, restaurant or catering environment (preferred but not essential)
* A positive attitude and willingness to learn
* Good understanding of food hygiene and safe working practices
* Ability to work efficiently under pressure
* Strong teamwork skills
* Flexibility to work mornings, evenings, weekends and bank holidays
* A genuine passion for hospitality and guest satisfaction
Food Safety Level 2 certification is desirable, but training can be provided.
