Senior Aviation Analyst

Responsibilities
* Engage with aviation clients, demonstrating strong knowledge assimilation and applying this to project assignments.
* Write high‑quality technical and market‑related reports and proposals, and present project material to colleagues and clients.
* Provide oversight and support to Aviation Analysts in their development of analytical projects for airports in the UK and around the world.
* Further develop in‑house built forecasting and capacity optimisation tools.
* Manage internal benchmarking databases across the aviation community to best serve our projects by facilitating users to access pertinent information.
* Oversee possible future additional junior staff and mentor their development in best practice forecasting and data analytics.
* Develop best‑practice user guides on all the analytical concepts and projects in which we work as a team.
* Support the engagement and management of subconsultants; undertake line‑management duties where applicable.
* Undertake client visits both domestically and abroad to support project delivery and client relationship development and enhancement.
* Perform high‑level analytics in support of a range of advisory‑related tasks, detailing justifications in the data, discrepancies and possible enhancements to the data to ensure that work completed demonstrates solid thinking and problem‑solving skills.
Candidate Specification
The role requires a strong background in forecasting and capacity optimisation / analysis, though we encourage applications from candidates who have expertise in one of these areas. Candidates should have a proven track record delivering detailed air‑market and traffic forecasting reports, describing risks and suitability as well as knowledge of air‑market historical and planned development at global, regional and local levels. Travel overseas, sometimes at short notice, is required.

* Excellent verbal communication skills, which allow you to confidently liaise with clients and colleagues.
* Excellent written communication and attention to detail, being able to oversee the development of Excel models and PowerPoint presentations, telling the story and connecting it back to the client’s challenge.
* Advanced user of Word, PowerPoint and Excel (Power BI desirable).
* Demonstrated ability to pick up or investigate/research things such as coding and other analytics‑related tasks to support project delivery.
Experience with other software including AviPlan, InfraWorks, Navisworks, Revit and/or 3D visualisation tools will be favourably considered.
