The Role
NHS Lanarkshire is looking to recruit an Assistant Practitioner - Physiotherapy Orthopaedics, based within University Hospital Hairmyres.
The Assistant Practitioner implements and adapts treatment programmes within hospital and or community settings for individuals / groups of patients, using specialist technical and practical skills to deliver flexible, patient centred programmes.
Please note: Duties may vary depending on the care group / department or assigned area of work.

What we'll need you to bring
* Formal qualification at HNC Level or equivalent level of experience in a health / education / social care environment plus short specialist courses relevant to specific clinical area.
* Awareness of health legislation relevant to the clinical area.
* Knowledge of the clinical speciality/area process, techniques and / or activities relevant to client group.
* Ability to apply a range of technical and practical skills.
* Effective listening, communication and interpersonal skills.
* Time management, planning and organisational skills.
* Working knowledge of basic information technology.
* Ability to work individually or as part of a team
* Ability to learn and develop new skills and maintain a record of learning.
* Car driver with a full, valid UK/EU/EEA drivers licence.
Please note for all vacancies where a driving licence is required this must be a full UK/EU/EEA licence.

Please note this is a part time post and the salary for this position will be pro-rata.
Location and Working Pattern
This role will be based in Physiotherapy within University Hospital Hairmyres.
The working pattern for this role: 3 days per week, every Wednesday and one full weekend per month
