We are seeking a dedicated and skilled chef to join our dynamic kitchen team. As a chef, you will play a crucial role in food preparation, cooking, and ensuring that our culinary standards are met consistently. This position requires both creativity and attention to detail, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with other kitchen staff.
Responsibilities
* Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards
* Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner while maintaining high quality
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including workstations and equipment
* Adhere to food safety regulations and hygiene practices at all times
* Assist in meal preparation for special events or large orders as needed
* Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations during service
* Monitor stock levels of ingredients and communicate needs for replenishment
* Participate in training new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety protocols
Requirements
* Proven experience in a kitchen environment, preferably within a restaurant setting
* Strong skills in food preparation, cooking, and meal presentation
* Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
* Previous culinary experience is highly desirable
* Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
* Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues
* Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends
