NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK, employing around 40,000 staff in various clinical and non-clinical roles. We provide acute hospital, primary, community, and mental health services to a population of over 1.15 million, expanding to 2.2 million with regional and national services.
We are recruiting for three permanent positions in the Imaging Departments of the Clyde Sector. We seek enthusiastic clinical support workers to assist with patient care during imaging procedures.
Positions Available:
1. Post 1: Based at Royal Alexandra Hospital. Full-time (37 hours/week) with a pattern of 7.5-hour and 12-hour shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
2. Post 2: Based at Royal Alexandra Hospital with rotation to Vale of Leven Hospital. Part-time (29.8 hours/week, 4 days) with similar shift patterns, including weekends and holidays.
3. Post 3: Based at Inverclyde Royal Hospital. Part-time (22.2 hours/week) with 12-hour shifts every second weekend, including public holidays.
Responsibilities include patient preparation, assisting with exams, working with Radiology IT systems for patient identification, and ensuring smooth patient throughput, including IV cannulation. Candidates should have extensive hospital support experience and be patient-focused.
