Tired of the big firm treadmill where you are just another name on a timesheet? Fancy a desk where the kettle actually works, the biscuit tin in never empty and your colleagues even know your dog's name? Good – then keep reading
We're a small but ambitious firm with a big passion for employment law. Our reputation is growing, and so is our caseload — which is why we're looking for a solicitor with the skills, confidence, and curiosity to hit the ground running.
We specialise in employment law, working with both employers and employees to resolve issues with clarity, practicality, and a touch of humanity. We're serious about getting great results for our clients, but in the office, we're known for being approachable, supportive, and not above the occasional biscuit-fuelled debate (custard creams or hobnobs — choose wisely).
The role:
· Provide timely, sound legal advice on employment law matters from contracts, polices to complex disputes and tribunals.
· Manage a varied caseload effectively – both contentious and non-contentious.
· Provide pragmatic, commercially aware guidance (with plain English delivery).
· Work independently while being part of a close-knit collaborative team.
· Maintain strict confidentiality.
· Remain up to date on the latest developments in the field.
· Help to shape the future of the firm as we grow.
About You:
· Legal qualification.
· 3+ years PQE with solid employment law experience.
· Confident at managing a varied caseload.
· Excellent at building strong client relationships (and keeping them).
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
· Exceptional analytical and reasoning skills.
· Ability to prioritize work effectively and meet deadlines.
· Professional and reliable – but with a sense of humour.
What we offer:
· A genuinely supportive culture where your contribution makes a real impact.
· The freedom to shape your work and bring ideas to the table.
· Flexibility to support your work-life balance.
· A workplace where both clients and colleagues value approachability as much as expertise.
· The priceless joy of helping people navigate the wild world of work.
If you are ready to bring your employment law expertise to a firm that values people, we would love to hear from you. Please send your CV and cover letter that gives us a sense of you as well as your experience to
