ON Services Ltd provide utility infrastructure services across the Yorkshire region working with a select number of industry partners whilst also undertaking private works on a smaller scale. Established in 2011, the company has seen rapid growth in the past two years, expanding current contracts through consistent service delivery, which has led to expansion into new geographic areas. We are now recruiting for a Contract Agent to join our team managing the contract on our fibre work stream in the Harrogate area.

Role: Contract Agent

Location: Site based- Hull.

Reports to: Contract Delivery Manager.

Salary: Salaried position, negotiable dependent on experience and competency.

Holiday: 28 days including Bank Holidays.

Hours of work: Monday-Friday, 7:00am-5:00pm. 30 minutes lunch break.

Role Summary (Key Functions):

In the role of Contract Agent, you have primary responsibility for the successful delivery of the electrical faults contract, ensuring all contractual obligations are fulfilled whilst ensuring health and safety and environmental considerations are equal considerations. As part of your role, you will work closely with the Contract Delivery Manager and client to ensure the fulfillment of contractual obligations cross multiple sites. The Contract Agent must liaise closely with internal management, clients, local authorities, work gangs, purchasing/plant department and are ultimately responsible for the successful completion of the works.

Typical Activities/Responsibilities will include:

* Work closely with client teams, supervisors and senior management to deliver all aspects of the electrical faults contract.
* Schedule work appropriate to your allocated teams.
* Control costs within the parameter of the role and mentor employees, giving guidance, coach and instruction as and when needed.
* Meet with Client teams and Local Authority representatives to agree extent of works and agree program for completion.
* Review operations service prepare reports and provide analysis of operational outcomes and identify opportunities to achieve efficiencies.
* Manage the performance of all operatives within the contract area and to be fully mobile within that area whilst remaining compliant with all aspects of Health & Safety and other legislation, recording and escalating issues and risks accordingly.
* Monitor risk assessment and setup site to ensure NRSWA guidelines are delivered.
* Work closely with highways inspectors and our third-party TM Company to ensure NRSWA guidelines are delivered.
* Monitor team activities to maintain a clean and safe work site inspecting all work and work equipment for defects.
* Demonstrate an excellent level of customer engagement, managing customer expectations and complaints through to resolution.
* Maintain contemporary records including diary, allocation sheets, daywork records and additional works records.
* Deliver programmes efficiently.
* Site and team SHEQ audits.
* Communication of potential project concerns to the Contract Delivery Manager.
* Communication to Contract Delivery Manager if prospective works are not commenced for any reason.
* Throughout your role of Contract Agent, you will comply with the Company's Quality, Health and Safety, etc. procedures, as necessary.

Skills and Personal Qualities

* The possession and demonstration of a strong technical background and working knowledge are essential to this role.
* You will be expected to work on your own initiative as well as working as part of a team.
* You will have key decision-making skills and an ability to effectively communicate information to both internal and external customers.
* You are expected to be self-motivated, independent and in most part self - managed.
* You must be well organised and methodical.
* You must be able to demonstrate a huge amount of accuracy and diligence, however due on occasion to demanding time deadlines you must be able to perform to the highest standards without compromising quality.

Qualifications and Experience

* A good understanding and experience of the Utility industry and more specifically contracts involving the electrical network.
* Supervisor NRSWA qualification preferred.
* Experience and passion for leading teams and developing team member's skills and career paths.
* Approachable and transparent way of working which will add value to the team's activities.
* Experience of managing utility infrastructure contracts.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £45,000.00-£50,000.00 per year
