Overview
We have 1 routine assessment practitioner position to offer in the St Helens Recovery Team. This vacancy would be suitable for an experienced registered mental health nurse to work in an exciting, innovative post that supports the Biopsychosocial assessments of patients to access mental health support. The core working hours are Mon - Fri, 9am - 5pm excluding bank holidays. The post holder will work in the Secondary Mental Health setting, offering specialist mental health assessment to patients with moderate to severe conditions.
The role allows the practitioner to provide specialist advice, support, and assessment to patients, enabling timelier access to services and ensuring the right treatment at the right time. It offers an autonomous working environment and aims to improve patient experience by helping transitions between services with strong support. The post holder will be an effective member of a multidisciplinary team and will triage and signpost patients to the appropriate team or service. The role is supported by Pharmacists, Advanced Nurse Practitioners, Clinical Leads, Responsible Clinician, and the management team.

Responsibilities
* Provide Biopsychosocial assessments for patients to access mental health support.
* Offer specialist mental health assessment for patients with moderate to severe conditions in a Secondary Mental Health setting.
* Triaging and signposting patients to the appropriate service or team.
* Work within a multidisciplinary team with support from Pharmacists, Advanced Nurse Practitioners, Clinical Leads, Responsible Clinician, and management staff.
* Promote timely and appropriate access to services and support autonomous practice where appropriate.
Qualifications and Requirements
* Registered Mental Health Nurse with relevant experience.
* Experience in biopsychosocial assessment and mental health triage.
* Ability to work Mon–Fri, 9am–5pm (bank holidays excluded) and adapt to flexible working requests where possible.
