Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Joiner to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in fabrication and assembly, with hands-on experience using both hand and power tools. This role involves working on various construction projects, including carpentry, joinery, roofing, and more. The successful applicant will be responsible for delivering high-quality workmanship while adhering to safety standards.
Responsibilities
* Fabricate and assemble wooden structures and fixtures according to specifications.
* Utilise hand tools and power tools effectively for various tasks.
* Perform carpentry work including the installation of doors, windows, and cabinetry.
* Execute joinery tasks with precision to ensure structural integrity.
* Assist in roofing projects, ensuring proper installation and finishing.
* Carry out heavy lifting as required during construction activities.
* Engage in construction painting to enhance the appearance of finished projects.
* Support plumbing and masonry work as needed on-site.
* Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and safely.
* Maintain a clean and organised work environment.
Requirements
* Proven experience in fabrication, assembly, and joinery is essential.
* Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
* Strong carpentry skills with an eye for detail in all aspects of work.
* Knowledge of roofing techniques is advantageous.
* Ability to perform heavy lifting as part of daily duties.
* Experience in construction painting is beneficial but not mandatory.
* Familiarity with plumbing and masonry practices is a plus.
* Electrical experience would be an asset but is not required.
