Principal responsibilities
· Personal Care: Assisting residents with day-to-day activities such as washing, bathing, dressing, toileting, oral hygiene, and grooming while respecting their privacy and dignity.
· Mobility Support: Helping residents move safely within the care home, including transferring from beds to chairs, supporting walking, and using mobility aids as necessary.
· Assistance with Meals: Preparing and serving meals and drinks, providing support with feeding where required, monitoring dietary needs, and ensuring hydration.
· Emotional Support: Providing companionship, listening to residents' concerns, offering reassurance, and fostering a warm, supportive environment to promote mental and emotional well-being.
· Monitoring Well-being: Observing and reporting changes in residents' physical or mental health to nurses or care home managers, including signs of illness, discomfort, or distress.
· Record Keeping: Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of care provided, changes in conditions, incidents, and communication with families or other professionals.

Pay: £12.21 per hour
Expected hours: 16 – 42 per week
