T.S. Repulse, part of Rotherham Sea Cadets, has been a prominent youth organisation for over 80 years, offering programmes for individuals aged 10 to 18. As a registered charity, it provides training in seamanship, leadership and personal development through initiatives like the Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme and BTECs. The organisation hosts twice-weekly parades, along with additional activities such as outdoor water sports, competitions and participation in community events. Supported by a dedicated team of volunteers, T.S. Repulse is committed to fostering independence and lifelong skills among its members. All volunteers undergo training and police vetting to ensure the highest standards of safety and expertise.
Role Description
This opportunity is for a voluntary Sea Cadets Unit Management Team Trustee role at Rotherham Sea Cadets. The Trustee will support the effective management and governance of the unit, ensuring alignment with organisational policies and goals. Responsibilities will be based on your strength, we're looking for these skills;
* Strong Communication and Customer Service skills
* Background or understanding in Sales and fundraising
* Knowledge of Military practices or related disciplines is an asset
* Commitment to supporting youth development and a collaborative approach
* Organisational and teamwork skills to support management and project initiatives
This is a hybrid role, primarily based in Rotherham, with flexibility for some work to be completed from home. We have bi-monthly meetings at the Unit.
