Workshop Controller
Location: Guildford
Salary: £39,000 – £45,000 Basic | £48,000 – £52,000+ OTE
Hours: Monday–Friday + Saturday rota
🧾 The Role
We are recruiting for an experienced Workshop Controller to join a busy and high-performing dealership in Guildford.
This is a key position within the aftersales team, responsible for ensuring the workshop runs efficiently, maximising productivity while maintaining high standards of quality and customer satisfaction.
🔧 Key Responsibilities
* Control and allocate work to Technicians to maximise efficiency
* Monitor and drive workshop productivity and utilisation
* Ensure all work is completed to manufacturer and company standards
* Liaise between the Service Advisors and workshop team
* Support Technicians with technical queries and job prioritisation
* Manage WIP (Work in Progress) and workshop loading
* Maintain high levels of quality control and customer satisfaction (CSI)
* Assist in mentoring and developing the workshop team
✅ Requirements
* Previous experience as a Workshop Controller / Senior Technician
* Strong understanding of workshop operations and processes
* Excellent organisational and leadership skills
* Ability to work in a fast-paced dealership environment
* Strong communication skills
* Full UK driving licence
