Credit and Collections specialists perform a variety of accounts receivable and collections activities in a fast-paced, global business environment. They are responsible for processing receivables, determining credit limits and terms, and soliciting payment on overdue accounts. They work collaboratively with customers, management, and internal stakeholders to mitigate customer credit risk, improve cash flow, and reduce receivables while maintaining a customer-focused and solutions-oriented approach.
Job Summary
Within this position, you are responsible for:
* maintaining relationships with customers in relation to payments.
* setting up new customer accounts and terms,
* establishing credit limits,
* preparing statements and invoices for electronic or hard copy distribution,
* posting receivables and cash receipts and preparing journal entries,
* researching and resolving discrepancies between billings and receivables,
* issuing credits as necessary,
* processing freight chargebacks,
Requirements for success
We are seeking the following skillset for this position:
* A High School diploma or professional diploma in finance or accounting,
* A minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role,
* Accepted principles and practices of Finance and Accounting, Credit, Collections and AR,
* You could be a good fit if you like to work in an international environment in which you understand the game of "more sales but limited risk" together in a team located in both the UK as well as in the Netherlands,
* Your (growing) individual portfolio consists of approximately USD 60 Mio per year with customers in the EMEA region.
