Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join one of the most forward-thinking, innovative and proactive Therapies teams in the East of England! This role will be working with the Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy teams across the Colchester Hospital Site.

* Respiratory Medicine
* Surgical wards
* Critical Care
* Orthopaedics: Trauma and Elective
* Medical wards
* Older peoples services
We currently have one substantive vacancy and two fixed term vacancies for maternity cover.
Position
We are looking for an experienced and dynamic Therapy assistant to work with the team to assess, treat and complete referrals for a wide variety of patients.
Key Skills & Experience
* Experience of working in rehabilitation ideally within an NHS setting.
* Excellent communication and organisational skills.
* Team worker able to use own initiative.
Qualifications
* Educated to Foundation degree or Level 5 Qualification in Healthcare / Sport and Exercise Science or similar.
Support and Development
* Supported by qualified therapists, working within a competency framework.
* All necessary training provided.
* Own workload management and participation in team and service development.
Schedule
Expected to work weekends, approximately 1 in 5, as part of our 7 day service.
