The role of RPCS Health Care Assistant is to provide end-of-life care to patients in their own homes during their final weeks.
We seek caring staff capable of providing personal care to patients in their last weeks of life.
We offer a variety of shift patterns to suit you, working across a 7-day week.
Your hours will vary (between 7 am-11 pm) on a rota basis from Sunday to Saturday.
You will visit patients living locally, who wish to be cared for at home.
You will assist with washing, dressing, nutrition, and skin care.
During visits, you'll spend time talking to patients and their families, using your skills to ensure the best possible care.
Visits are mainly conducted by two carers, but there are times when you will visit alone, so access to your own car is required.
Experience is not essential as training will be provided, but prior caring experience (e.g., caring for a dying relative, childcare) is preferred.
Please note: We do not sponsor for this role, and due to the minimal hours required, we cannot process applications from candidates sponsored by other employers.
Application process: All applications are anonymized until an interview is confirmed. Applications are reviewed as received, and the advert may close early, so we encourage prompt applications.
If successful, you will start on the first working Monday of the month, supported by our structured induction program.
Our commitment to Equality and Diversity: At Rennie Grove Peace Hospice Care, we embed our values in our recruitment and are committed to equality, diversity, and inclusion within our workforce and culture.
