An exciting position has arisen for a Head of IT to work at an established business in West Bromwich. This is a permanent role offering a salary of up to £75,000 base plus bonus.
Your new role:
1. Play a central role in driving the growth of two of the Group's key brands, as well as the overall group brand of this global organisation.
2. Oversee and manage the organisation's IT infrastructure, systems, and teams to ensure smooth technology operations.
3. Drive the strategic direction of IT, enhance system performance, and keep the organisation aligned with technological advancements.
4. Support business growth, improve efficiency, and ensure secure and reliable IT systems.
5. Manage and oversee outsourced IT services, ensuring third-party providers meet service levels and business needs.
6. Develop and implement a comprehensive IT strategy aligned with business objectives.
7. Lead, mentor, and build a high-performing IT team, including UK and offshore teams.
8. Collaborate with third parties to ensure stability, security, and scalability of IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, and cloud services.
9. Identify and implement innovative technologies, such as generative AI or emerging market technologies, to drive business improvement and operational efficiency.
What you'll need to succeed:
1. A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
2. At least 5-7 years in an IT leadership role, with a successful track record managing IT teams and strategic initiatives.
3. Relevant certifications such as ITIL, CISSP, or PMP are desirable.
4. Experience managing outsourced IT services and vendor relationships.
5. Knowledge of Microsoft Navision or Business Central, and experience with automated warehousing systems like AutoStore, is highly desirable but not essential.
6. Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to collaborate with senior management and other departments.
7. Extensive knowledge of IT infrastructure, cloud computing, cybersecurity, data management, and enterprise software.
