As a senior member of the Culture and Leadership Team you will lead on the implementation of the workforce EDI Agenda across the Trust towards delivering an inclusive culture for all our people, in collaboration with NHS partners, other stakeholders and communities of practice.
You will provide leadership, knowledge and expertise in the design and delivery of workforce EDI interventions that will help to deliver sustainable organisational performance, ensuring that workforce EDI activities are evidence led.
You will be accountable to the Director of Culture and Leadership and link with the Workforce Senior Management Team for the delivery of workforce EDI projects, initiatives and approaches which are aligned to the workforce programmes and the Trust strategies.
Main duties of the job
Take the lead in articulating the outcomes expected from the workforce EDI portfolio and the resources required to deliver these outcomes.
Take a lead role in the design and delivery of the programme management and monitoring arrangements to be applied to the workforce EDI portfolio of work.
Work with the Director of Culture and Leadership to ensure that workforce EDI interventions are closely aligned with business needs and are in line with Trust strategy and workforce commitments.
Ensure that our workforce EDI agenda is aligned with the national NHS people plan, the NHS people promise, system and regional people strategies. Benchmark CUH practices with national and regional healthcare partners / sector organisations and good practice more broadly.
Support the development of an overarching delivery plan for the workforce EDI portfolio inclusive of lessons learnt from the annual NHS Staff Survey and national and regional benchmarking outcomes.
Prepare workforce EDI investment cases and business cases as required in partnership with CLL Head of Business Operations.

Qualifications
Essential criteria
Relevant graduate or post graduate degree e.g. in Organizational Behavior, Occupational Psychology, Organisational Change or Organisation Development or related social science e.g. Sociology; Anthropology with relevant applied experience of translating theory into practice.
Evidence of relevant continuous professional development.
Desirable criteria
Postgraduate or CPD in Systems Thinking, Design Thinking or Complexity Science.
Experience
Essential criteria
Significant experience of delivering inclusive behavioral and cultural change in a complex, mature organisation.
Significant experience of designing, developing, contributing to and implementing workforce EDI strategies at senior levels of a complex organisation.
Experience and examples of how workforce EDI interventions have impacted on organisational success.
Strong track record of successfully working across boundaries at all levels to contribute to organisational success.
Experience of managing and developing teams, setting standards for service delivery, managing performance and supporting professional development and personal wellbeing.
