THE ROLE
The role of the SQA Engineer is to monitor and improve the quality of our supplied components. The SQA responsibilities include reviewing quality standards, inspecting materials, equipment, processes, and products, developing quality control systems, and determining corrective actions. They work closely with managers, supervisors, and suppliers to implement quality measures
MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES
* Maintain quality standards in line with ISO9001:2015 requirements across the supplier base.
* Review, develop and implement quality control systems.
* Monitoring and analysing supplier quality performance.
* Inspecting and testing materials, equipment, processes, and products to ensure quality specifications are met.
* Collaborating with the Production and purchasing to develop and implement controls and improvements.
* Ensuring that workflows, processes, and products comply with safety regulations.
* Ensuring all supplied materials meet regulatory requirements e.g. RoHS as required.
* Investigating and troubleshooting product or production issues.
* Developing corrective actions, solutions, and improvements.
* Reviewing working practices, specifications, and processes.
* Audit manufacturing processes within the company and at suppliers.
* Assist in maintaining competence skills training within the production facility.
* Ensure initial sample reports are in place for new or changed parts.
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
* Degree in quality, industrial, or mechanical engineering or equivalent experience.
* A Quality affiliated certification is preferred.
* 2+ years of experience in quality engineering, quality assurance, or a similar role.
* Experience using QA measurement tools and processes.
* Familiarity with MSA, and R & R methods desirable.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Excellent auditing skills.
* Excellent troubleshooting skills
* Proven ability to ensure that processes and products consistently meet established quality standards.
