We currently have a vacancy for an Engineer with an Electrical/Mechanical Bias.
The position reports directly to the Maintenance Manager.
Work as part of a team to fault find and repair breakdowns on Machines and plant equipment, i.e., drills, blaster, saws, conveyors, welding units and overhead cranes etc.
Carry out preventative maintenance such as cleaning, lubricating and adjusting equipment to ensure optimal functionality and in line with the maintenance plan and update files accordingly.
Conduct safety checks, risk assessments, and implement safety measures to minimize the potential for hazards.
Maintain records of maintenance activities, including inspection reports, repair logs and equipment performance data.
Keep up to date with the latest regulations, and industry best practices, and ensure compliance in all maintenance activities.
Ensure safe systems of work are adhered to during all maintenance works, including COSHH assessments.
Collaborate with the team to coordinate maintenance activities and resolve complex issues.
Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders to provide updates, discuss maintenance plans, and address any concerns.
Identify opportunities for improving performance, energy efficiency, and cost effectiveness.
Fabricate and fit parts as required for repairs or maintenance to plant equipment.
Make and assemble fabricated parts into a complete unit, ensuring proper alignment and functionality.
Applicants must have completed a recognised trade apprenticeship or have a relevant Engineering qualification and experience.
Experience with Hydraulics, Pneumatics, welding turning, electrical, overhead Cranes and IPAF would be beneficial.
You should be conscientious hard working, flexible and safety aware.
