Your Role and Responsibilities
As an Electrical Engineer, you will:
* Provide specialist electrical, instrumentation, control, and automation engineering support across various projects, including potable and wastewater treatment works.
* Specify, design, review, and assure electrical and ICA installations, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and industry standards.
* Coordinate design activities and support project delivery, ensuring safe, reliable, and cost-effective solutions.
* Engage with clients to understand and challenge electrical and ICA design requirements.
* Deliver innovative solutions and value engineering to enhance Kier's competitive edge.
* Conduct site visits, surveys, and inspections, while advising on SHE issues.
* Provide ICA input for telemetry, SCADA, PLC, RTU, and network communication architectures.
What We’re Looking For
This role is perfect for you if you:
* Are a Chartered Engineer with membership in a relevant professional body (IET or IMechE).
* Bring extensive experience in the water, wastewater, or process-related industries, including hydraulic design and pumping systems.
* Possess detailed knowledge of SHE (Safety, Health & Environment) requirements and relevant engineering standards.
* Can work under pressure and make critical decisions, with proficiency in cable design software (Amtech).
* Are able to interpret P&IDs, SLDs, and loop diagrams.
* Can meet the BPSS (Baseline Personnel Security Standard) requirements.
