Responsibilities
* Lead technical projects from concept to completion, ensuring timely, high-quality delivery
* Architect, design, and develop scalable backend systems and RESTful APIs
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, frontend developers, and DevOps
* Provide technical mentorship and guidance to junior engineers
* Ensure security, performance, and scalability best practices
* Conduct code reviews and promote high coding standards
* Champion tooling (including AI-powered tools) to enhance productivity
* Manage, coach, and develop direct reports, fostering a culture of continuous improvement
What We're Looking For
* 8+ years of professional experience in full-stack software development
* 2+ years of experience in team leadership and line management
* Strong software architecture, database, and system performance optimisation expertise
* Hands-on experience with Python, Django (or similar backend frameworks)
* Familiarity with React or similar frontend frameworks
* Experience with cloud environments (AWS, Google Cloud) and infrastructure management
* Knowledge of modern deployment practices (Serverless, Docker, Event-Driven Systems, CI/CD)
* Strong problem-solving and communication skills in a collaborative, fast-paced environment
* Experience working with remote or hybrid teams
Desirable Experience
* Working in regulated lending environments
* Leading multinational software deployments
