Department: NDORMS

Grade 5: Salary in the range of £31,459-£36,616 per annum (pro rata)

This is a part-time (50% FTE), fixed-term position for 3 years.

Are you an enthusiastic and organised individual? Are you looking for an exciting opportunity to work in a varied support role within a research environment? If so, we are looking for a Personal Assistant to the Director of Research, to join the Kennedy Institute of Rheumatology, within the Nuffield Department of Orthopaedics, Rheumatology and Musculoskeletal Sciences at the University of Oxford.

Professor Michael Dustin holds the prestigious Kennedy Trust chair in molecular immunology and is a senior research fellow at Harris Manchester College.

You will manage the diary of Professor Dustin, using initiative to make considered judgements when juggling the demands placed on the schedule, making complex travel arrangements for UK and international travel, including making arrangements for visas where necessary, and prepare and circulate papers, agendas, minutes, and draft briefing notes as appropriate.

You should be educated to A-Level standard, or have equivalent experience, with the ability to draft correspondence and produce well-presented reports. Experience of diary management and proficiency in audio/touch typing are required. Attention to detail and high accuracy are essential, as is the ability to manage and prioritise a varied and busy workload and work to deadlines. Experience of using financial information systems (e.g., Oracle Financials) and event organising is desirable.
