We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Decontamination Support Worker to join our dynamic team. In this pivotal role, you'll be responsible for the safe and specialised decontamination of flexible endoscope devices, ensuring the highest standards are maintained to guarantee patient safety and quality care.

Perform a full range of decontamination duties, with a particular focus on the cleaning and sterilisation of flexible endoscope devices.
A strong commitment to patient safety, with the ability to work to the highest standards at all times
Work collaboratively with registered nurses and Operating Department Practitioners (ODPs), following their guidance and support at all times.
Communicate effectively and document decontamination activities in a professional and timely manner.
Maintain high standards of hygiene and safety, adhering to established protocols.
Contribute to the ongoing development of care standards and best practices through training and compliance with safety regulations.

Duties to include, but not be limited to:
Provide good quality personalised care in accordance with agreed local and national standards.
Be able to work within the flexibility of the theatres, ie working days, evenings, nights & weekends
Undertake clinical duties relevant to the clinical area following achievement of competencies
Assist to maintain patient safety, conforming to health, safety and security legislation, policies, procedures and guidelines.
Promote equality in care and practice by recognising, respecting and meeting the needs and choices of individuals.
Contribute to maintaining safe, clean and productive care environment, compliant with standards for hygiene and cleanliness.
Maintain and develop own competence in accordance with Trust and local policy.
Communicate and document information in a timely and appropriate manner.
Actively try to resolve issues and complaints at local level and report outcome to line manager.
