We are seeking an exceptional and forward-thinking Assistant Head Teacher to join this great school. As Assistant Head Teacher, you will work closely with the Head Teacher and senior leadership team to help shape the strategic direction of the school and ensure high standards of teaching, learning, and pastoral care. Duties as Assistant Head Teacher:
* Leadership & Strategy: Support the Head Teacher in developing and implementing the school's vision, strategic plans, and policies. Lead key initiatives and school improvement projects.
* Teaching & Learning: Ensure high standards of teaching and learning across the school, providing guidance and support to teachers to drive continuous improvement.
* Curriculum Development: Work with subject leaders to ensure the curriculum is challenging, inclusive, and tailored to meet the needs of all students.
* Student Well-being & Behaviour: Oversee the pastoral care of students, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for all. Lead efforts to improve student behaviour, attendance, and engagement.
* Staff Development: Provide leadership and mentoring to teaching and support staff. Lead professional development programs and promote a culture of continuous learning.
* Communication & Collaboration: Foster positive relationships with students, staff, parents, and the wider community. Act as a key point of contact for stakeholders and represent the school at meetings and events.
* Data & Performance Management: Analyze student data to monitor progress, identify areas for improvement, and implement interventions to support academic achievement.
What is required as an Assistant Head Teacher:
* Educational Requirements: A degree in Education or a related subject, and a recognised teaching qualification (QTS).
* Leadership Experience: Significant experience in a leadership role within a school, ideally as a middle leader or Deputy Head Teacher.
* Expertise in Teaching & Learning: In-depth knowledge of curriculum design, assessment strategies, and effective teaching methodologies.
* Strong Leadership Skills: Ability to lead and inspire a team, demonstrating excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
* Commitment to Student Success: Passion for improving student outcomes and fostering an inclusive, supportive school culture.
* DBS Check: A current DBS check (or willingness to undergo one) is required.
