Position: Locum Full-Time (10 PAs) Consultant in Cardiology
The successful candidate will join an existing team of Cardiologists to develop and expand the cardiology service. Facilities include CT coronary angiography, stress echocardiography, transoesophageal echocardiography, and a dedicated Cardiology Day Suite for cardiac pacing.
Our department features a redesigned Cardiology ward and CCU with 16 beds, including monitored and non-monitored beds, supported by telemetry monitors. We provide a 7-day in-reach service to a 34-bed MAU and are exploring new models of community and regional tertiary care collaboration.
Responsibilities include:
1. Managing inpatients and outpatient clinics, including specialist cardiology clinics and diagnostic imaging.
2. Training and supervising trainees, foundation doctors, advanced nurse practitioners, and specialty doctors.
3. Participating in departmental governance, audits, CME, and multidisciplinary team activities.
4. Contributing to evidence-based practice development and departmental management.
