Job Overview
We are seeking a highly qualified and autonomous Independent Prescriber to join our healthcare team, with a specific focus on medical weight management and obesity treatment. The successful candidate will have the authority to assess, diagnose, and prescribe medications within their scope of practice, including GLP-1 receptor agonists and other weight-loss therapies, providing safe, evidence-based, and patient-centred care.
This role involves conducting clinical assessments, reviewing patient eligibility, monitoring treatment effectiveness, managing side effects, and supporting patients through initiation, titration, maintenance, and discontinuation of weight-loss treatments. You will work closely with pharmacists and the wider multidisciplinary team to ensure prescribing aligns with national guidance and best practice.
This position offers an excellent opportunity for experienced healthcare professionals to apply their clinical expertise in a dynamic, digitally enabled environment, contributing directly to improved patient outcomes in obesity management. The role is suited to clinicians committed to maintaining high standards of clinical governance, safety, and ethical prescribing.
