HERE IS WHAT YOU WILL DO
The essential duties and responsibilities of the Senior HR Coordinator are the following:
* Manage the orientation, hiring process, payroll and HR functions for student assistants, temporary employees, fee-based employees and non-paid affiliates for the college's 20 departments.
* Develop and provide training on student and temporary hire processes for the college; serving on campus-wide ad hoc board:
* Serve as a back-up to HR Manager, Senior in the hiring process of staff employees (full and part-time). Assists with the staff recruitment process, which includes posting jobs in Taleo, reviewing salary requests, screening resumes, scheduling interviews and reference checks.
* Advise business managers and department coordinators on the allowable pay ranges for staff and temporary hires, the procedure governing the maximum payments and payroll disbursement schedules. Review and investigate exceptions and recommend changes.
* Coordinate with the College HR Officer on the position review and reclassification process for the College.
* Monitor and serve as back approver for time and absence management for exempt /nonexempt staff, temps, and student assistants. * Research and advise departments if there are any payroll discrepancies.
* Coordinate the bi-weekly and monthly time and absence reconciliation and approval for faculty and staff.
* Support managers in performance evaluations and feedback processes. Submit final evaluations to central HR.
* Serve as back up to the HR Manager, Senior in assisting with creating performance improvement plans for under-performing employees. May serve on University and College committees.
* Assists in special projects and performs other HR related duties as assigned. Performs other duties as assigned.
